I went to the City College of New York because there was no tuition in 1954. You just maintain being average and you're okay. My high school teachers encouraged me to go to college. I really had no plans to do that at all. I did work during the day. At 14 I took a job as an assistant bookkeeper, and I learned a lot of business there. When I graduated from high school, I became the bookkeeper in the office in the neighborhood. It was a fun time for me. I had a wonderful time.
