Career Success

One of my English teachers suggested the City College of New York to me, and I applied. I worked with the women's basketball team for a while as a manager. The challenge that I had was learning to focus and concentrate. When I first left school, I worked for the Department of Welfare, but that only lasted for about a year. I then went traveling for a couple of degrees and then I worked as a medical social work assistant. I worked in a couple of hospitals and then I worked as a VA director of volunteer services. I eventually had to get a straight job when I got married and had a child. I needed a steady income.
