Student Life & Rich Traditions

My father and my aunt were students of the CUNY system. When I got to New York and was ready for college, CCNY had an excellent pre-med program and that was where my heart was. I wanted to be a doctor, but I looked for a school that was not too far from home and had an excellent pre-med program. There was a lot of unity, wisdom, and understanding. Everybody was very helpful and very family oriented, even though we were different people of different races and have different cultural backgrounds. Ms. Lolita Hill was part of the leadership in the pre-med program. I remember her very well today. Dr. Broderick, Dr. Roth, were part of the research program that I was in. There were a lot of excellent professors. The degree that I had, the connections I made, and what I was taught led me to do what I'm doing now. I am finally a doctor. I work as a physician in Houston, Texas, and Missouri City, Texas. CCNY is an excellent college. I have no regrets. There are universities and other places of higher learning in the United States, but the CUNY system and CCNY did everything to me far and beyond the best universities in the world.
