BS '52
In 1952 I graduated with a bachelor's in psychology. I needed a master's, and since at that time it was free, it was where I lived, and I needed to do the next step in order to function in the field, it was a natural thing for me to do. The college's Department of Psychology at that time was really considered one of the best, if not the best, in the country. I remember that at the time, I had to travel back and forth. I took the train back and forth, and that was what people did. I remember enjoying the time I spent studying. It was a very satisfying and challenging experience. I loved that it didn't cost me anything; it was a free college, which was wonderful.
