My husband, Simon Schaffel, taught at CCNY and I met him when I was a student. Sy was an instructor then, and a year later we got married. I went to meet him in the school cafeteria, he was with his professors or whoever he was sitting with. I walked over to the table and I introduced myself. I told him my name was Judith Cline. Now in those days everything was on paper and cards. He went to look up my name, but he didn't find it because Cline in his mind spelled Klein so he called his friend, Dave, who was a geology major. He told him my name is Cline, and he finally found me. The Geology Department was right next to the lecture hall for English. He stood outside and waited for me, and that was the beginning of the rest of our lives.
