Career Success

I was in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. After the Army, I studied accounting at CCNY. After CCNY, I began at the American Broadcasting Company and I retired as president in 1986. My experience at the disciplinary started in the Army. I had to work several jobs in order to support my family. Then I started in the Research Department at ABC at the beginning of 1956. It was really at the start of broadcast television, relatively speaking. I worked my way up through the hierarchy until I became president of ABC Television in 1974. I left there in 1986. My accounting training was very beneficial as I was able to diagnose demographic data and research data which was supported by advertising then.
