I came here as a new immigrant and I started looking into how to expand my education. I had a degree from the country I came from so I found out accidentally about CCNY. It offered a degree in civil engineering. It turned out that it was a program that was affordable to me. I don't think I could have gone to any other place but CCNY because of economics. It was a pragmatic thing to do. As a graduate of CCNY, it connected me with people later on. My degree from CCNY offered me opportunities. It made me successful in my field in this country.
