Moments in Time

I was in a specialized branch of insurance providing liability to professionals. I had a long and successful career. Recently, after a lifelong love for and dedication to the cowboy way, my dream has come true. I remember at 8 years old, rushing home to hear The Lone Ranger on the radio. It was at that time in 1943 that I started my collection of western and cowboy memorabilia. Fortunately, I have retained the enthusiasm from that 8-year-old growing up in the East Bronx. I, with the support of my wife, Rhoda, and devoted family, opened up the Museum of Wild West Memories in 2018 in Litchfield, Connecticut. The museum has grown to include 12 rooms filled with items covering scores of historical figures - like Buffalo Bill and George Custer - and artifacts like a Kit Carson-style 1848 jacket. The museum also has volumes in print and video on just about every cowboy, Indian, and cowgirl that appeared on the big screen as well as on television. There are figurines, belt buckles, and knives. The museum also houses paintings including artwork from the celebrated artist Lajos Markos. My desire is to share the Wild West with the youth of today. I am also an investor in an upcoming play about the life and times of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. This play has been in the planning stages since 2018 and, after we get through the coronavirus, will first appear at the Coca-Cola Theater in Atlanta, then make its way to Broadway. The museum is located at our beautiful Top-O-World Farm at 61-67 Chestnut Hill Road, Litchfield, Connecticut. The museum can be seen just about any time, but by appointment only. My excitement about the Wild West is contagious.
