When I came to CCNY, I met with a professor who impressed me. That was what got me to CCNY. He then became my favorite professor, and he introduced applied behavior analysis to all of us who were doing our master's in special education. Most of the students during the master's program were either moving from one career or upping themselves, and there was a cohort of students who were doing the New York City-funded program to become a special education teacher. These were the students with who I traveled. We all had our placements in different New York City public schools. It was interesting, as we would go to each other's school and we would see what the other ones were implementing. Those experiences were great. The same professor got me excited in looking for more prospects in the field of applied behavior analysis. I got more interested, and he gave suggestions of other places that I could go to pursue more higher education in that field. He gave me a recommendation letter, and I applied and did my post master's certification in applied behavior analysis. I then started working in the various public and private schools. I had a great experience at CCNY, and it was what made my career in special education and the world of applied behavior analysis.
