CCNY did a great job for me. I was a sociology major, and I went on to Hunter College to be a social worker. The theory and the atmosphere at CCNY prompted me to go even further. That was how I knew I wanted to become a social worker. I learned a lot at CCNY, and I advanced academically well. The courses were good. The teachers were great and smart. The relationships I made were great in terms of other students, and I met some people there who were great thinkers. They boosted my academics a lot and increase my knowledge of what to expect. It prepared me for the working world, and it helped me to become academically advanced to go on to graduate school. After graduation, I became a social worker, and I retired in 2011.
