I grew up in New York and was interested in the engineering programs at the time when I was coming out of high school. CCNY was really convenient because of the fact that I didn't really have the ability at that time to travel out of state. It was advantageous for me to go to a school that was within my state and within my city specifically. I was attracted to it because, looking at the CUNY system, it had an engineering program that seemed to be respected. I was impressed with the quality of the education that I received and the experiences that I had. When I was there I was able to work in a research laboratory that paid for my tuition, so I was under some fellowship. Through that I was able to get exposure to different conferences in the scientific community and travel around the world presenting research. It was a unique opportunity to get exposure to things I wouldn't have been able to get otherwise. I think CCNY put me in a really good place where I'm pretty satisfied with in my career. The education at the school was really strong. The work that I was exposed to there and the preparation that I got going through that program really helped me to get to where I'm at in my career.
