We didn't have the funds to attend anything but a public institution, whether it be a city or state institution, and the City College of New York was the one school that offered me an opportunity in the area of accounting. It was the only school that had a very fine reputation, so that's the reason I went there. I worked in the public and private industry, and I've been retired for 17 years. CCNY allowed people with limited financial means to attend a really good institution with strong programs. To me, CCNY means a good education.
