BS '61
When I got to the City College of New York, it was free. CCNY was the gateway to the rest of my life. My favorite professor taught comparative anatomy, and he was terrific. He was the best instructor that I had. I belonged to a House Plan, Jolson '61, and we rented space above a bar downtown, relaxed, and enjoyed ourselves away from the work that was the college. It was a good group of men. In my senior year, I won a state scholarship for dentistry. After graduation, I went to New York University College of Dentistry. During dental school, I met and married the love of my life. I became a dentist, and then I went into the Army and served in the Panama Canal Zone. After two years and one baby, we returned to New York and set up a practice on Long Island. I am now happily retired and enjoying the fruits of my labor. I often think of CCNY and the good times I had there.
