CCNY was the most well-respected of the city colleges, and the fact that it was free was an important bonus. Since it was both an excellent school and the most challenging to get into, it was the only one I had wanted to apply to. We had very good professors, and eventually I entered into the Psychology Department, which had a number of well-respected and well-known psychologists on the faculty. It provided me with a solid background for moving on to graduate school. I was inspired by the faculty and found the students interesting. Overall it was a great educational experience that helped prepare me for my future career as a clinical psychologist. When applying to graduate school, it helped that CCNY was the most recognizable and prestigious of the city colleges. I have always been proud of the school and the positive impact it has had on my life.
