I was accepted to a few colleges, but I went to CCNY because of economics. I earned my way through by obtaining jobs in the summertime and after school. The expenses at CCNY were low at the time, so it was manageable. I didn't participate in too many social activities on campus. The main social outcome were the relationships that I built with my classmates, which continued over the years. CCNY provided an excellent opportunity for me to initiate my career. I had an engineering position immediately after graduation. I interviewed for this position and obtained a job in the summer prior to my senior year. This first job was with an international instrumentation company located in Cleveland, Ohio. They subsequently moved me to their NYC office and paid my tuition to attend night school for an MBA in industrial management. My education continued with my career advancement. I achieved a post-graduate program in advanced executive management at the Wharton School and became a licensed professional engineer in New York City, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida. My career included positions in design, engineering, construction, marketing, and training for international design and construction firms. I retired as the executive vice president of human resources and the senior officer responsible for fair employment practices and benefits at Morse Diesel International, Inc., a major construction management and consulting firm. I am a member of the Architectural and Historic Review Board for the Village of Dobbs Ferry, New York. My real estate management spanned over 40 years and included treasurer for three years and president for ten years while living at Hunters Run, a community in Dobbs Ferry, New York. In 2000 I retired to Boynton Beach, Florida. During this period I held various positions within my home owner's association, including president. On a personal note, I have been married for over 60 years. I have two children and five grandchildren.
