BS '58

I was a very good student. I graduated at the top of my class in high school. I didn't want to leave New York City, so I accepted the full-tuition scholarship because I was accepted to CCNY. I did very well. I graduated first in my class and won a full-tuition scholarship to medical school. I graduated in January. I was on the faculty of CCNY because my professor, Dr. William Etkin, took a sabbatical and went as a research person to Einstein Medical School. I worked for him as a part-time temporary substitute instructor at CCNY from January to June 1958. I loved it. I also did research with him at Einstein Medical School. I had an award and won a full-tuition scholarship to the University of Rochester School of Medicine. I had an incredible experience at CCNY. It changed my life, and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had.
