I wanted to finish my degree extremely badly because, for years and years, I applied for jobs that told me no matter how much experience I had, I would never make more money unless I had that piece of paper. For years I was unable to return to school, but eventually, I went back and I did it. A former middle-school teacher with whom I’ve stayed in contact had recommended that I go to the CUNY Graduate Center. They referred me to CCNY. I was a stay-at-home mom while pursuing my degree. I was even pregnant when I first applied and didn’t know it yet. I took one semester off when I had my son and came right back, taking night, weekend, and online classes. In 2018, I finally received my bachelor's in literary, media, and visual arts. Within a year of graduation I found a job. I've been working for a year at a company called T Media Sales.
