I wanted to study graphic arts because I've always wanted to pursue a career in art. When it comes to my parents, I'll be the first one to attend college and obtain a bachelor's degree. CCNY was high in rank out of all the other CUNY schools. Even though I lived all the way in Brooklyn, I was determined to attend CCNY. I loved the whole atmosphere of the campus. It definitely gives you this out-of-state feel when you're on campus. The campus life made a great impression on me. I really enjoyed it. When it comes to the clubs, you're able to interact with people and you could socially grow from it because you can learn stuff from their experiences. I utilized the career center a lot. When I graduated, I tried to attend a lot of their career fairs. The career office tried their best to get me interviews. That was something I thought was beneficial. I was able to do my networking. With my due diligence of being persistent, I was able to get a job as a graphics production designer with the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services, or the DCAS. I work for the city right now as a graphics production designer, and I'm also the project manager of the e-learning team, where I create modules for learning devices. I'm also the project manager of the New York City's catalog, where I design the catalog itself. Prior to that, I was originally hired to work in administration where we assist all city agencies, including the mayor's office. I ended up getting a promotion to work for human capital, which is a different part of the DCAS. With this promotion, I became the project manager and graphics production designer with the e-learning team.
