BS '58
I decided to stay local as far as going to college was concerned. The emphasis was to continue on in science, and stay in the city and choose a college from the New York City area. I was awarded a scholarship to go to CCNY. I was involved in a lot of extracurricular activities. It was very hard to keep up with the engineering curriculum, so I decided to switch over to pre-med and found my passion. I was involved with the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity and the college yearbook. I was the editor-in-chief in 1955. I graduated in 1958 and ended up going to a medical school in Europe for five years. It was an interesting experience and was an opener. I became a world traveler and married a foreign-born individual. I came back in 1963 and retired in 2000. CCNY gave me the opportunity to expand myself and my horizons and a free education for whichever was very insightful.
