Faculty & Staff

I'm a native New Yorker. I attended CCNY because I knew it was a good school and I didn't pay for it, as it had free tuition. I started when I was about 21. I was usually the oldest person in class back then. What was special was that the teachers were tops. I made a lifelong friend, who was in the English Department. I ended up studying in the same period that he did. CCNY changed my life entirely. It was partly because I never really had an education before that, which was delightful. It was very serious and the teachers were very good. It allowed me to have a professional life. I taught for a few years in a college and became a library director somewhere else. It was outstanding. It was a turning point.
