I attended the City College of New York because it didn't cost anything and I knew it was a great school at the time. I started working as a tool and dye maker and went to CCNY at night for five years. In the last year, my sixth year, I went during the day. I decided to receive a degree because I had to work, as I was supporting my parents. I loved engineering. One of the people there happened to be the department head eventually at CCNY in Mechanical Engineering. We were going on the same course and the same path. We were friends. He decided to go into a college career. I went into the industry. It was a great experience. The teachers were good. I studied hard and enjoyed every minute of it. I was first in my class and graduated as a magna cum laude. I also got my master's degree in electrical engineering at CCNY. I was impressed by the professor who taught digital electronics and digital circuits at that time. He was great. I was a hard-working student and really dedicated myself to my school and work. I became a manager of mechanical engineering in a general position. My first job was at Ford Instruments. I've been mostly in the defense industry. I worked at Kia. They kept changing my position but I worked there for 30 years. I retired after that. I had a very satisfying career. I loved every minute of it. CCNY was a good school. CCNY means a great deal to me. I am really indebted to New York City for having a free college system.
