I was so grateful that I got accepted at the City College of New York. If I couldn't have gone to CCNY, I don't think I would have been able to go to college at all. CCNY was my opportunity to get a college education. I settled on a BA because my parents were very pragmatic and they thought that that would lead me to get employment. My true love was science and my parents weren't confident that I could get a job of any kind in the scientific field. I love what I do, but I do love, still love, science. I passed on that love to my son who became a psychiatrist and a true scientist; he's written many papers on scientific matters.
