After my transfer from LaGuardia Community College, I knew the City College was the right school for me. It was my first choice, I got in, and I liked it. I really liked my major, International Studies. For me, it was everything. The classes that I chose were very interesting classes and they were eye-opening. My professors were amazing. Sometimes when classes were over, I'll stay to speak with my professors to understand things better. It was a great experience for me. Now, I'm still in touch with my professors. Recently, I got into a PhD program and my professors were happy for me. They remember me and it was amazing. The time spent at City College was meaningful and precious. After I graduated, I got into NYU for my master's program. After spending one year at NYU, I knew that I needed something to challenge me more. I took some times off to think about exactly what I wanted to do. Then, I applied for a PhD program. I got into a PhD program at the different university even though I didn't finish my master's program. This is the first year of my PhD level. I think I'm doing well for someone who did not complete a master's degree. The foundation that I had at City College is the source of all these. Without a strong foundation, I couldn't have stretched myself further. The foundation at City College is very important and that helped me to be where I am right now.
