BA '98
I graduated from LaGuardia Community College in 1986 with an associate's in applied science. I knew I needed to pursue further. I decided that CCNY was not far from home, and that was good news about CCNY - one of the greatest CUNY schools. There was a time when tuition was free and CCNY always made national reports as being well distinguished. When I applied for CCNY and was accepted, that's where I chose to go. I wanted to be a part of its history. I went part-time and worked during the day. The fact that I was able to go part-time and enjoy the college experience was an accomplishment. I had good professors that were very concerned and had your interests at heart. I liked the course offerings and started out pursuing music. I changed my course of study and decided to explore creative writing. I could not enjoy the full benefits generally offered during the day, but I still accomplished my degree and was very happy to graduate in June 1998.
