BA '65

What drew me to CCNY was the fact that it was coed. I had gone to an all-girls high school from 7th grade through 12th, and I just wanted somewhere coed. It was about time! It was really fun, and the thing I remember most is the South Lawn where people would sit on blankets, talk, and do homework. Another thing I enjoyed about CCNY was the fact that there were so many exciting political things happening. I took a leave of absence and graduated with the class of 1967, but I didn't know anybody in that class. I asked the alumni association to put me back with 1965, which they agreed to. The teachers were great and my fellow students were wonderful. There were some people I knew from high school and I made new friends there too. The House Plan was wonderful, and I had a lot of fun with the show that House Plan put on every year. It was nice getting together with a bunch of young women.
