Career Success

I went to another city college as an undergraduate and worked as an elementary school teacher. At that time, I needed to acquire my master's within a certain timeframe, so I decided to go to CCNY. I developed a friendship with someone that I've been friends since that time. It's been more than 44 years that I've known this individual that I met on the campus. We've seen each other give birth to children. We've been friends, and we still speak to each other on a weekly basis. Career-wise, I was an elementary school teacher in Queens. I taught third grade and fifth grade, and was a reading teacher for several years also. I really felt fulfilled in teaching. Some of my students have reached out to me years after they left my classrooms. I enjoyed my career as a teacher and retired in 2002. I'm thankful that I never had debt from going to CCNY and received a superb education despite paying very little for it.
