Career Success

They had a program for working people and the class location was in lower Manhattan. I worked nearby so it was easy for me to get there after work. I had more confidence in myself and my abilities. When I graduated from high school, I didn't go to college right away because I felt that I wouldn't be able to accomplish the responsibility of attending classes. I didn't feel like I was capable, but as I worked, I began to study and realized I could get promotions and that I did have a brain. They encouraged us to attend college. We became better workers when we got out. I was capable of doing more than what I had thought when I graduated from high school.
