Moments in Time

I chose CCNY because it was a great education at a reasonable price and because it had the Skadden, Arps Program, that I was fortunate to be a part of and that helped me ultimately end up in law school in the country. All of my professors were great. Dr. Adrienne Jones left a lasting impression on me, not only because she had great teachings but she also forced us to think about things that aren't necessarily evident for people in terms of race relations, implicit bias, and stuff like that. That really spoke to me in many ways. Some of my best friends or individuals that I met in college at CCNY are lifelong friendships. I think from a career standpoint, I was able to obtain a tremendous internship while at school with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. My participation in the Skadden, Arps Program, which was a relatively new program at the time, helped me ultimately end up in law school at a top 20 law school. I'm a lawyer today in many ways because of that head start that I received at CCNY. CCNY gave a sense of family and belonging that you don't necessarily get elsewhere. I mean, even though CCNY is largely a commuter school, you genuinely have a feeling of a community.
