I was teaching at Hostos Community College. It was free tuition. I was looking for an MFA, and I was reluctant to apply because I was afraid I might be rejected, but then it's an excellent and positive experience. There were many different students of many different ages. I really enjoyed my fellow students and the teachers. I have additional degrees. I have a PhD and I have an MA from Regis University in Colorado. I have five degrees. I did a lot of poetry writing. I haven't done much since, but it's nice to have that deadline to produce some poems. I would have to produce poems every week. Now I had to produce regularly.
