The history of being a public college and the history of the location inspired me to attend the City College of New York. When I went there, I was very fortunate, as I was part of the open admission program, and the college did not charge tuition. I enjoyed my time at CCNY. The campus was nice and the classes were good. CCNY is close to where I was born and grew up. The clinicals for the nursing program were held in excellent hospitals. I don't have anything but good memories. I'm a graduate of the Nursing Department. I'm the only nurse in the family and the first in my family to attend and graduate college. I have a wonderful nursing career for the past 43 years. I have worked in excellent hospitals and in numerous positions in both New York and New Jersey. Receiving a baccalaureate nursing degree from CCNY changed my life, provided me a professional career I am very proud of, and helped me make a difference in people's lives.
