Faculty & Staff

My family was in New York, and I decided to attend the City College of New York to stay close to them. I also wanted to experience the city. They had an engineering program and the faculty inspired me to join the engineering and electrical engineering. I had a chance to talk with professor Scheinberg and other professors. I just felt comfortable and welcome there. I will always admire Shepard Hall and the memories that I made there. Professor Norman Scheinberg from the Electrical Engineering Department stood out to me. His classes and the one-on-one talks with him helped me get an internship and also a full-time job after I graduated. He shaped my career. My adjunct lecturer, Gilberto De la Rosa, who was also in electrical engineering, was instrumental in shaping my career. My experience was shaped by professional networking and talking to professors about what fields should I get into. I also have long-term friends that I met there and was part of some of the organizations. I was in the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers. I met my best friend in college and also expanded my professional network. CCNY was an entrance to the lifestyle that I wanted to get.
