BA '68

I went to CCNY when it had free tuition. I was an active member of the House Plan Sis Hunt 1968. We're all still in touch and I am in contact to this day with several other former classmates. A Spanish major, I stayed close friends for many years with Dr. Angela Dellepiane, who was an Argentine literary critic, as well as with the distinguished Spanish scholar Carmen de Zulueta. Career-wise I switched to writing, contributing regularly to the newspaper Backstage for 11 years, working as associate editor of and reporter for the teachers' union newspaper New York Teacher for 15 years, putting together radio and television programs for the then NYC Board of Education, and writing for CUNY and Yeshiva University and for many publications. But my lifelong friendships at CCNY kept growing after graduation, as I've long been active in the CCNY Communications Alumni Group, serving as co-president for five years, and as the editor of the group's newsletter since 1994. I was editor of the Alumni Association's Alumnus Magazine from 1995 to 2000 and from 2014 to 2016 and have been a member of the Association's Board of Directors.
