He lived in the Lower East Side growing up, and occasionally he would walk all the way up or back from the City College. He really had some great experiences and loved CCNY. When we were living in New Jersey in one beautiful October in the early 2000s, he said, 'I want to show you my school.' He told me he couldn't have had a better education if it wasn't for CCNY, and he was so proud of his education. He could tell how many great people had gotten started at CCNY and won Nobel prizes and other various prizes.
