I chose the City College of New York because they had a good architectural program. I then switched over to computer science when the first computer science class was offered. I was in the first graduating computer science class, and I was on the track team. I was a captain of the cross-country team once and twice for indoor and outdoor track respectively. During my time with the team, I anchored three records, and I got onto the track hall of fame. My preparation for the MS and participation on the CCNY track team enhanced my confidence and ability to be a little more aggressive towards my goals wherever I was working. Many of he friendships that I made at CCNY have gotten stronger over the years and showed me that I could compete with other counterparts no matter what race I was in.
