The flexibility with schedules and classes that I was going to take while I could go to school and work made me choose the City College of New York. I majored in education. I'm working in the same field while I was going to school, and my students were my motivation; I call them my kids. I met different people working for the same degree, so it made us feel connected; we're teachers, and we're friends. I'm also appreciative of my professors at CCNY because they have passion for what they do. Overall I'm thankful for all the people at the school. I'm still at CCNY doing my master's, and I felt very confident because I knew the school. I'm going to stay and will be going to be a teacher. My advice to the people going to CCNY is not to worry about timing, and when they're at the school, they're going to achieve whatever they want because it makes you feel like you're at home.
