I was a chemistry teacher in a private school when I attended the City College of New York. I needed extra help to improve my teaching, and CCNY was one of the best options for different reasons such as affordability, convenience, flexibility, and the distance to where I am working. Furthermore I liked the small classes that I had, and the teachers were interactive. I also liked that one class where we were given chemistry techniques to teach a certain content. It helped me improve my communication with my students. Aside from that I did like one of my instructors, and he was also my advisor. He was helpful because he gave me the subscription to a tool, which I used even up to this day to create tests for my students. CCNY gave me a whole arsenal of tools to help me become a better teacher. They made me more confident, and I am thankful for my experience as well as the information I gleaned from that time. CCNY meant an opportunity for me.
