Career Success

My best friend and I both went to the City College of New York with a bunch of our friends. We graduated from George Washington High School and transferred into CCNY. We stuck together throughout the four years. After CCNY, I got an MLS from the University of Hawai'i from their Library Science Program. I thought, 'Which was really critical? Was it the library school or was it CCNY?' It was CCNY, because the education I was given there enabled me to become a professional. I became a professional college librarian in the library at West Los Angeles College, which was part of the Los Angeles Community College District, for over 32.5 years. My degree from CCNY made me be a success. I had some fabulous teachers, and it was a great experience. It was the foundation of my professional success. I wouldn't have been as successful without my education at CCNY.
