2014

I was looking for a more rigorous curriculum, and I ended up registering for a class at CCNY. I got into my first class with Dr. Craig Daigle, which was a Cold War history class. CCNY was very good to me from that point on. I was able to develop a tremendous amount of historical knowledge, along with valuable skills in researching and locating source material. The research methods learned at CCNY have been a valuable asset to me. I am an adjunct history teacher at a New York Community College only because of CCNY. Earning a master's in history from CCNY enabled me to embark on a teaching career that I am very proud of. The sacrifices and long train rides from upstate, the countless hours of study, and the lectures and discussions at CCNY were certainly an educational experience I will never forget. I am thankful that CCNY decided to undertake this massive effort to document our experiences there. I want to personally thank Dr. Craig Daigle for his mentorship, friendship, and his dedicated scholarship he contributes to the history profession. The faculty at CCNY ranks as one of the best in the nation. It was the biggest factor in my decision to chose the CCNY for my graduate education.
