Career Success

I chose CCNY because I wanted to go into engineering. I was a part of a fraternity of chemical engineers. I was very fortunate to have graduated in the top ten. I spent the first ten years after graduation designing chemical plants, plastic plants, and other kinds of facilities like that. I drifted over into engineering new buildings and new construction, like computer facilities, and ended up taking a job in an architectural firm. I was the head of the Engineering Department and spent 22 years there. For the last 12 years, I led the company as CEO of one of the largest architectural/engineering firms in Philadelphia and New York. I retired as CEO from The Kling Partnership in 2000.
