Career Success

I attended the City College of New York because of the Sophie Davis Program, and it was my stepping stone as I pursued my medical career. I did my first two years of medical school at CCNY and did the last two years at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. My favorite professors at CCNY were Camara Phyllis Jones, Dr. Jack Geiger, and Leith Mullings, my professor in medical anthropology. After my completion, I went back to the city and did my residency at Montefiore Medical Center with a specialization in internal medicine. I practiced at Elmhurst Hospital under Mount Sinai Services for three and a half years and then Cabrini Medical Center for 11 years as medical director of ambulatory services. I have owned my solo practice in midtown Manhattan for the past 13 years.
