I chose CCNY because it was affordable, and I passed a massive test to get in. I majored in history, and I enjoyed all these subjects dealing with history. I also took all kinds of art classes and economics classes. I did very well, and I loved what I was doing. Those were very happy days at CCNY. After I left CCNY, I went on for a master's in business administration at the downtown school on 23rd Street and Lexington Avenue. I then spent three years in the US Army in Germany and came back to America to start a career. My first and only job was as a financial executive, even though I became an executive later in my career for a company known as W.R. Grace and Company.
