Student Life & Rich Traditions

I remember making good friends at the City College of New York, and I loved going there. I got married in my sophomore year, so we took an apartment, and I commuted from Queens. It wasn't as big of an issue because I was determined to stay in school and finish my degree, which I did. CCNY gave me such a great and wonderful education. The required courses were essential, and I was exposed to literature, poetry, and French language. I even got to take German for my major. The students were very bright, and there was a wonderful competition, but it was all great. I became an information scientist, doing online research and working in the pharmaceutical industry, and the broad knowledge I obtained from my great education at CCNY really came in handy. I eventually became a director of the library and information center at a pharmaceutical company, so I've always credited the City College of New York for broadening my education. I'm thankful to them forever.
