I chose to attend the City College of New York because of the accessibility to where I was living at the time and the history of the school. I was a first-generation student in our family to attend college. I actually went there for my master's program; I was a full-time employee at the time, so I pretty much stayed off campus and just went to school for the coursework. It prepared me for my career as a social worker working for the City of New York. CCNY offered an education at an affordable rate.
