BE '69
There were no dorms, so everybody was a commuter student. I went to Hunter College, which is part of the City University System. Then after two years I transferred to CCNY for my engineering degree. It was very nice and very enjoyable. When I transferred to CCNY, I got involved with the student chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. I was their corresponding secretary, and one of the vice presidents, for several years. It was also fun and very enjoyable. I met some people from the industry and things like that. We had speakers. I remember it was a different lifestyle in 1969 than now. CCNY means a place to promote higher education for minority people with a minimal cost and getting a very good education.
