BA '94
I dropped out of Hunter, and I joined the military. After I came out I've had a series of jobs here and there. I decided to go back to CCNY, and I heard good things about it. It was a good school to go to and the courses and the teachers were good. I started going to the Center for Working Education and I liked it because it provided a good schedule for me to go at night and the teachers were good. I had a good time and then it rekindled my educational itches and pursuits. I started doing good in school. I started getting good marks, and I felt very good about myself. After I got my bachelor's, by that time I had been teaching, I started substituting into schools and I kept going on until I got a master's degree. By that time, I had already been a certified teacher. I passed my state exams, and it was worthwhile for me because I had good experiences and the courses were good and many of them were required. More importantly, my professors were very good. I enjoyed being taught by them. As a matter of fact, I plan on going back to City College to see if I can acquire a doctorate in art education.
