BA '16

As a first-generation, low-income individual coming out of high school, I was looking for an opportunity to become a leader in my own family and to be the first to graduate from college. I was also looking for something affordable that will also provide me quality experience and opportunities. I transferred to the City College of New York after my experience at a private school. I had an amazing advisor from admissions who really contributed so much to my entire experience of welcoming me to CCNY within that day. He was able to essentially get me enrolled, remove any of the holds that I had, and got me scheduled. One of the things I loved about CCNY was the landscape; I was fascinated by the architecture, space, and buildings. I appreciate the privilege most from CCNY. They provided me with the skillset, the professional capacity, the networking experiences, and extraordinary opportunities that have really built the leader that I am now.
