CCNY was the college that was available to me. I lived in the Bronx. CCNY was one thing that was available to me, and I wanted to go there. It impacted me because I became a teacher. I started teaching in 1963, and I taught for quite a while. I loved the students, and I enjoyed my life with the students. After a while, they assigned me to the higher grades, fifth and sixth usually. I taught whichever subjects had availabilities. I also ran the library for a while. I think I did a good job.
