2019
I remember when I first visited the campus with my family, I felt very at home at CCNY. I knew it was a place I wanted to go. One of the biggest accomplishments that I've done at CCNY was help bring back the CCNY ice hockey team for the first time since 1977. It was also a pleasure to play music for my peers at CCNY during my five years in attendance there. I met the most wonderful people. In my fourth year, I had a math professor named Jay Jorgenson. He changed my perspective on math. At first, I felt very intimidated by it. He normalized it and made sense. He made it seem more human and less abstract. I'm still relatively new in the professional world. My academic experience at CCNY definitely provided an opportunity to work with people from all different backgrounds. It was a very enriching experience because I got to learn and know so many different people. Right now, I work in Manhattan, and it's a natural transition to go from a city school to working for the city.
