My experience was different from other people because I started at CCNY when I was doing my associate's at a community college. At the time they had a Bridge Program that took students who had a grade of A in chemistry for an interview. We then started working in a biochemistry lab at CCNY. It was scary for me because I was in a smaller school, and everything there was so big. There were so many people from everywhere. In the lab I worked with a professor, and that opened another world that I did not know I could do. I was working for almost two years in the biochemistry lab, and the easiest way to continue working for them was to go to CCNY. Because of that I transferred to CCNY from the community college I was studying at. The City College of New York is my home, and I have more hours there than in my own house.
