Student Life & Rich Traditions

When l first came to New York City, fresh out of college, with no job, l worked part-time and full-time on a variety of jobs. One of those jobs was as a security guard at CCNY. As time went on l moved to 144th Street and Convent Avenue, which was right down the block from CCNY. Luckily l worked for a school in the neighborhood as an assistant and was offered the opportunity to enroll in a program to be administered at CCNY. At first I almost declined because it wasn't what l what l wanted to do. But it was an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve myself, so l decided to enroll. Overall the experience was great. I went part-time; I wasn't a full-time student. I was in my graduate work there. The only professor I remember was Professor Stent who was there for a while. The instructors were professional and very confident. The overall experience of my short time there was extremely gratifying. I am thankful to have attended CCNY, as it allowed me to obtain my master's and solidify my certifications in the process. I continue to strive toward the best I can do in that job. It was great and just solidified my position to work for it from that point on.
